Raqeeb Ads is a web tool that checks your Meta ad accounts (Facebook and Instagram) every 30 minutes, alerts you on Telegram or your phone before a balance runs out or when performance goes wrong, and gives you campaign analysis and professional client reports. This guide walks through the full setup in order — you can finish it in a few minutes.
Step 1: Create your account
On the home page click Start free and sign up with email or Google. It takes under a minute, and it's free to start. The tool is fully available in English and Arabic, and you can switch languages at any time.
Step 2: Connect Facebook (read-only)
Click the Facebook connect button and you'll see Facebook's official login. Approve the requested permission, which is ads_read only.
What "read-only" means: the tool can read your ad account numbers, but it cannot edit a campaign, pause it, change a budget or spend from the account. We never ask for your Facebook password, and the app has been reviewed and approved by Meta. Access tokens are stored encrypted with AES-256, and you can disconnect from Settings at any time.
Step 3: Choose your ad accounts
After connecting, you'll see the ad accounts you have access to. Pick the ones you want to watch. They'll appear on your dashboard with today's spend, the balance and the estimated time left for each.
Step 4: Configure each account
Each ad account on the dashboard has three options:
- Low-balance alert with an alert threshold — the amount below which you want to be alerted. (Available for prepaid accounts.)
- Daily report — include this account in the report you receive every day.
- Performance alerts — watch for cost spikes, spend without results, rejected ads and account status.
Don't leave the threshold at zero, or the alert will only fire once the balance is already gone. To pick the right number, read Facebook Ads Low Balance Alert: Know Before Your Campaigns Stop.
Step 5: Choose where alerts go
From the Alerts section of the dashboard:
- Telegram: click Connect Telegram, then Open Telegram, tap Start in the bot, then come back and refresh.
- Mobile notifications: install the tool as an app from your browser (on iPhone: Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen, iOS 16.4 or later), then turn on notifications.
Then in Settings choose Telegram, mobile, or both for each alert type. More detail in Facebook Ads Alerts on Telegram: Balance, Performance and Daily Reports in One Chat.
Step 6: Set up reports and performance alerts
In Settings:
- Language & daily report: pick your language, time zone and report hour, and the report type — "today up to send time" (good for end of day) or "full previous day" (good for mornings).
- Weekly report: pick a day to receive a summary of the last 7 days compared with the week before, including the best and weakest campaign.
- Performance alerts: set the percentage increase in cost per result (vs. the 7-day average) that should trigger an alert, and turn on any of: spend without results, account status changes, rejected ads and creative fatigue.
Step 7: Analyze your campaigns
Open the Campaign Analyzer to see every campaign with its numbers, period-over-period comparison, placement, time-of-day and audience breakdowns, per-ad analysis with images and videos, and 90 days of performance history with a change log. Export to Excel, or package the data in one click into a ready-made prompt for any AI tool.
To read these numbers in the right order, see How to Analyze Facebook Ad Campaigns: 7 Questions That Show Where Your Budget Goes.
Step 8: Create a client report
On the Client reports page, create a report with your logo and colors, choose the campaigns, period and data to show, and send the link. It updates itself, can be protected with a PIN, and the client can download it as PDF or Excel. More in Facebook Ads Client Report: What to Include and How to Stop Rebuilding It Every Week.
Suggested Raqeeb Ads settings by type of user
| User | Suggested starting setup |
|---|---|
| Store owner running their own ads | Balance alerts on Telegram and mobile together, an evening daily report with today's numbers, the spend-without-results alert |
| Freelance media buyer | Balance and account-status alerts on both channels, a morning daily report with yesterday's numbers, the weekly report, the cost-spike alert |
| Agency | All performance alerts on for active accounts, a balance threshold per account based on how fast each client tops up, a report link per client |
Common setup mistakes
- A zero or tiny threshold: the alert arrives too late. Base it on hourly spend and how many hours you need to top up.
- No alert channel connected: without Telegram or mobile notifications nothing reaches you, even with every alert enabled.
- The wrong time zone: the daily report arrives at an hour you don't expect.
- Performance alerts on a paused account: harmless, but it distracts from the accounts that matter.
What to do in your first week
- Day one: make sure the bot commands work and the dashboard shows every account.
- Day two: review your first daily report and adjust its time or type if needed.
- During the week: open the Campaign Analyzer for your two most important accounts and review placements, timing and top creatives.
- End of the week: create your first client report link, and check whether alert thresholds need adjusting after a week of use.
Tips after setup
- Try the bot commands
/balance,/reportand/statusto confirm everything works. - Revisit the alert threshold of any account whose budget you raise.
- You'll get reminders 7 days, 3 days and 1 day before your Facebook connection expires. Reconnect then so monitoring doesn't stop.
- To stop at any time, disconnect Facebook or delete your account and all its data from Settings.
