Why use a daily ad budget tracker?
Ads Manager shows what was spent, but not whether you're ahead of or behind the month's plan. A campaign spending 10% over plan every day will exhaust the budget three days before month-end, and one spending under may miss sales. Daily tracking catches this early and gives you time to adjust budgets calmly.
What's inside the template?
- Settings: enter the monthly budget, days in the month and opening account balance, once.
- Daily sheet: enter actual spend every day, plus any top-up. The template calculates the daily plan, cumulative spend, difference, pacing, remaining balance and how many days it lasts at your average spend.
- Summary: spent so far, budget remaining, budget used, planned spend to date, and projected month-end spend at the current pace.
How to read pacing
Pacing = actual spend to date ÷ planned spend to date × 100
- 95% to 105%: you're on plan.
- Above 105%: you'll overspend if the pace continues. Trim daily budgets slightly or pause the weakest campaigns.
- Below 90%: campaigns aren't spending as they should, usually due to a small audience or a low cost cap. Read Facebook Ads Not Spending Budget? Why It Happens and How to Fix It.
Template or automatic alerts?
The template is great for one or two accounts, and for people who like to see the numbers themselves. But it needs you to log spend every day. If you manage many accounts, it's more efficient to get the numbers automatically: daily spend, remaining balance, and an alert before it runs out.
